One of the weekends I was told to get ready and bring as much as clothes as I can but I wasn’t told where I will be taken to. Have no idea what is going to happen.
After about 2 hours drive, we arrived at a place near a beautiful lake.

Dengan muka mengantuk I stepped outside the car and see hills not so far from the lake.
And I was told
“We are going to climb the hill. Don’t worry not that far, around 800 metres only”
I was like..
Whatttt?
Climbbbbbbbbbbbb???

Everybody else have to wait for me yang sangat slow padahal aku berlenggang je, orang lain bawak banyak barang.
Sekejap-sekejap berhenti but it wasn’t that bad because it was cold and I did not sweat.
Along the way, we saw nomad at the kaki bukit, with their houses and binatang peliharaan – goats and dog. Something that I’ve never seen before.

After half and hour we arrived at our destination.

It was breezy and very calming.
I could see the whole view from the top.
But no, the trip was not to hike the hill, it was something else.
Something more exciting.

Paragliding.
The guy next to me was an instructor, an ex army.
A very nice guy and I really like him. To me he is the definitioan of the ‘macho’ guy yet very gentleman.
He has his own company and has 25 years experience in paragliding.
To be honest, I was excited but didn’t know what to expect. Weirdly enough I didn’t feel scared at all [cume menggelupur lite-lite]. I mean, aku tak reti apa nak buat okkkkk.
Kalau aku terjatuh dan termati macamana?
But the instructor taught me what to do while his collagues help to prepare the wings.

I didn’t fly alone, he was behind me to guide me. Apa kau gila nak suruh aku fly sensorang first time?

This was the first attempt, dalam semangat kegelupuran tiba-tiba batal sebab parachute/wings tu tak bukak bebetul so batal, kena buat balik semula.

When the instructor says “now!” I begin to run as fast as I could. Mind you, adalah susah gila nak lari because I feel like I was being pulled behind.
“Run until the end of the hill, when your feet cannot touch the ground anymore, don’t stop running”
I was like.. how the hell am I supposed to run when my feet can’t touch the ground anymore? I will fall and die!
He promised me I won’t die or fall so I did what he told me to do [with eyes closed. Ha!]
end of the hill now! Matilaaaaaa
I was menggelupur when i saw the big void in front of me, I mean what if something went wrong? [tau pulak kau takut nak mati kan?]
But then, then I feel lighter, no more force pulling me behind.
And so I opened my eyes.

The feeling was indescribable.
The world was in front of me and it was soo soo peaceful.
I could see the mountain, hills and the beautiful lake, it feel … incredible.
If I could, I want to be on the top forever.
So serene.

We maneuvered to the left and right until the wind brought us down ad we landed on the paddy field where there were many mustard flowers nearby.
The walk to the bloody top was worth it.
He asked me whether I would like to learn how to fly solo, I told him I would but not at that time.
When I return to the beautiful country, I promise I would.
