Low profile but..

I am nearly blind. Been browsing for new navel bling bling. All the bling hampir membutakan dan menjulingkan aku but the thing is, I need new navel bling sebab mine, batu-batu dia dah hilang. Tah mana-mana pergi. I love this one design, flip flop kimono the thing is they sell it in 4. Siapa pulak nak pakai sampai 4? Ye memang boleh tukar-tukar tapi tidak, kene berjimat cermat [haha as if!] dan memang boleh jual tapi tidak, komfem bila aku dah dapat aku tanak jual.

Finally I decided to go for the cocktail one.

Ehe.

Actually I want to talk about something else today. Itu hanya intro [macamla tak biasa kan].

The other day I was having a conversation with my company about food place yang low profile tapi sedap. Example, I don’t like Itallianis sebab to me, takdela sedap mana and piccolo mondo also walaupon suatu masa piccolo adalah sedap tetapi tidak lagi. Tapi promosi dia, wahhh bukan main.Pung pang pung pang. Baya mahal tapi rasa ala kadar. Statement cheapskate.

Dulu masa darah masih muda dan semangat poyo membara [sekarang bukan tak poyo cuma kurang dari dulu] I would definately love fancy place macam nailis’s lah [kira fancyla tu] apalah tapi bila sudah tu..err..matured I prefer places yang takdela hip sangat tapi makanan setappp. Nevertheless, I would still be going to fancy places provided the food is exceptional example Ciao and ..and..and.. err..ok I don’t know. I can’t think straight right now.

So anyway, here are my favourite low profile tempat makan in random order [macam miss universe pulak hihi]

  1. Little Italian Kitchen
Where: Used to be located at Shah Alam Mall. Love the food selections and the friendly owner and ohhhhhhhhh the desserttttttttt tsk tsk. How can I forget the tiramisu and chocolate devil? Masih terasa-rasa kesedapannya. Sadly, it’s no more there. closed down dan diganti dengan Pelita nasi kandar. Like, apaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? I am so pissed. But what can I do? Shah Alam people love mamak and co rather than little italian. Lagi suka bau tengik ketiak mamak-mamak itu [emo tak? haha]. And the price was not bad. The kedai was subtle looking, not shouting “Hello World, I am an Italian Restaurant that claimed to be the best in Italy!”
  2. Sakura Fuji
Where: Lower Ground Shah Alam Mall. Love the set menu selection. The sashimi are so fresh and so sedap and ohh not to mention the best chuka iidako ever. I also love the waitress, sangat baik dan peramah. This place may look like macam malu-malu nak hidup but once you taste the food, ohhhhhh. My fav menu? Unagi set be it lunch or dinner. For lunch the set comes with choices of fresh sashimi/tempura and for dinner the set comes with ebi tempura and special sauce [special sebab aku suke gila dipping dia ok]. The price for both set are not more than RM26 each. I have tasted kiku zakura, nippon tei and ozeki [this is also not a bad place] tapi my heart still goes to sakura fuji, maybe sebab dia dekat hehe.

    The juicy chuka iidako

    Tempura udon

Salmon Porridge untuk orang demam [tapi nakkk jugak makan dekat sini]

  3. House of Fishball
Where:Damansara Uptown, sederat dengan Layla walk in closet and kiosk. This is Teo Chew[ye ke spelling mcm ni] food and their homeland porridge and homeland mee adalah orgasma berganda. I thought after kehilangan bubur cina-dalam-claypot dekat hartamas square, harapan aku nak makan bubur sedap adalah tiada tetapi dengan adanya kedai ini, haha hari-hari boleh makan. If you happen to pass by, aku rasa mesti takde selera nak masuk tapi sebab masa tu aku jalan dengan penekak cina jadi terpaksala aku masuk, dan tidak menyesal. Oh try their sour lime and my must eat taufufa [ada sedikit rasa ginger, I likelah tapi]

    Taufufa

  4. Restoran Ismah
Where: Equine Park, sederet dengan Ibu Pejabat Polis Subang [jangan tanya aku apasal IPD subang dekat equine park, I also don't know]. Another restoran who seems to malu-malu nak hidup, well apparently they only started their business three months ago [according to the owner]. I was told about this restaurant by pjoe and it turned out to be not disappointing. The tomyam putih sangat sedap especially if you requested for extra pedas. Cuma, the potion is little and fail to cater big appetite like me jadi second time, saya order denga banyak hehe [patutla gemuk]
  5. Avalala
Where: Uptown food court. I love avalala sejak zaman blaja-sambil-party lagi. Although the seafood are not fresh tapi the other cookings are sedap. Love the tanghoon, nasi goreng and cantonese kuey teow. The cook is chinese hence explains why the cantonese kuey teow is sedap. Muka toye tapi masak sedap ok [apa kaitan?]. I bet yew bunnies know this kedai sebab ni kedai lama especially siapa yang suka makan balitong. Ohhhh.
  6. Rojak kangkung + abc open air kuching
Selain abc coklat sekolah tun fatimah johor bahru, abc dekat open air kuching adalah sangat mengorgasmakan. Very simple tasting yet sangat sedap. Sambil dimakan dengan dengan sotong kankung yang dimasak oleh kakak iban[sedap-sedap aku je nak kasi nama die kakak iban]. I tried my best to look for sotong kangkung yang kalau tak similar, dekat dekat to the taste tetapi gagal ok. Yang dekat satok, rasanya adalah macam haram, yang dekat sini lagiiilah but I have to say Pulau Pinang’s adalah at par juga. Cuma nak makan dekat open air, kalau jenis tekak yang er..err.. how do I put it, not used to other than malay-environment place[ minus mamak], mungkin tak lalu tapi aku lalu aje hehe. Talking about Abc, Macam-macam abc I tasted, my kesimpulan? Lagi berwarna warni kaler abc tu, lagi macam sampah rasanya.

I can only think of those places at this moment. Now, I need to sleep and think whether or not I should buy the skincare from Dr Murad. SKII tak cukup miracle untuk aku, adala miracle sikit tapi I need like..like.. besok pagi-pagi muka macam Catherine Zeta Jones dengan mekap.

Tolonglah someone lempang aku jangan nak membeli-beli. Arghhhh

I thought I would never have a chance to watch it since my online booking was not successful. And yesterday might be last day to watch it [well for me atleast]. But I was craving for Ikea’s garavad lax and meatballs, I thought ahh belasah jela pegi. Kalau ada baguslah kalau takde it’s ok. I still can eat my meals.

Well, it was my lucky day, 2 seats managed to be booked. And I had my Ikea’s meal. Setapp and stim just that the amount  the slamon served dah kurang and the meatballs are less bigger. Still, aku suke!

Anyway, what do I think about the movie?

ayat-ayat-cinta.jpg

  1. Menginsafkan. The part where the convict talked to Fahri about Nabi Yusuf made me cry. I feel so small and I feel that, that guy is actually talking to me.
  2. Love the scene in the bus too where the man refused to give seats to two American. Like hello fellow muslims who are so extremist, can you not see? Stop discriminating by the race already./
  3. To me, the storyline was quite difficult to make believe but I understand, this is based on a novel, therefore the storyline is created that way. Still, it’s the messages that are more important
  4. No matter how I think I can tolerate my jealousness, I don’t think I can hug another girl who wants [or is actually, according to the movie] to share my husband with me. Aisya’s sacrifice made me cry lah. Heartbreakingnya bila dengar someone that you love said “I love you to someone else”
  5. Usually I detest the guy who tried to use the religion pendekatan or tunjuk alim, well I have my own reasons sebab diorang ni depan je tunjuk alim tapi belakang bila orang tak nampak nak juga raba-raba tetek. However, the example shown by Fahri is different, it’s hard to explainlah, go and watch the movie than you’ll know. Jenis yang tak kecoh preaching
  6. The background membuat hati sayulah tapi tak logik the mustache tak tumbuh while he was in jail.
  7. Like the fact that the main actor was chosen with non-pan asian or commercial face. Muka jawa :D. Honestly speaking, I had enough seeing pan asian face in asian movies. Nak nak lagi malaysia, mula bentuk tin biskut pon boleh masuk tv kasi glamer sebab pan asian padahal bakat ceh, there are lots of people out there with better prospect cuma, muka according to their heritage.
  8. Perhaps those who are extremist would not like this movie. Reason being, Maria is still not wearing a scarf and still keep her cross although she already converted. Banyak lagilah kot, but I like at least there are some strong point memartabatkan perempuan. Who said, nasib perempuan teraniaya dalam Islam? It’s just the way people interpret it
  9. Watching the movie made me want to get the book. As I was googling for some pictures, I found the pdf version of the book. Sweet!

Ok. I have to go now. Tata

Sepi

in outing,review

If you know me, you would know that I am a fan of a good filem melayu and indonesia. When I say good, the so-called prof and the haslams works are not in the list.

I fell in love with Cinta, therefore when Sepi was released I promised myself to go and watch it [much to someone's agony haha]. If you are planningto go and hate spoilers, hehe don’t continue reading then.

Cinta tak datang hanya sekali. Sangat benar. Sometimes you tried so hard to look for it but never lucky, when you are near to lost hope, it comes. Bringing a new hope and new season to fill your lonely heart.

Sepi is nothing like Cinta, maybe some parts but Sepi is definitely not a sequence of Cinta.

  1.  Among the three, my favourite is the last story. I like Baizura Kahar in Cinta despite her short appearance, there’s something about herlah. Too bad that she is not going to act anymore.Tapi aku tak paham apsal dia kene pakai rambut palsu. Buruk dan nampak palsu gila. Keji.
  2. I never like Syed Hussein, I don’t usually like to see pan asian[sort oflah] kind of look with the yo-yo-am-cool-hip-young guy  berlakon but yeah, he can act and oh my, hati aku mencair tengok dia. Tak tahu apsal. Chentaaaaaaa ohhhhhhhhhh. Kenapala takde lelaki macam tu yang ngorat aku masa dekat UM dulu, yang ada semua adalah loser ok [tak termasuk bf aku masa tulakan]
  3. Afdlin reminded of Azam [betul tak? Kepada sesiapa yang kenal dialah], a very uncanny resemblance!
  4. Among the three, the second story is the weakest. Sebab? I don’t like the idea of a guy wanting to marry another man’s wife despite she is his lifeguard. But. The part when his wife died really made me sob lah. Sedeh dan terkesan. Dahla aku ni penanges kan. Also, apa kaitan 7 tahun tak ada anak and nak cakap husband dia tak fertile/mampu bagi anak? I don’t get it..
  5. My dislike for Eja ruined it even more. It’s her so typical wataklah. Helpless looking women. Tsk. I don’t like
  6. Tony was quite ok, adalah ternampak expression kosong in him.
  7. Afdlin shone with his usual aura but I have to say, perjalanan cerita yang pertama itu macam ada yang tak kena. He met Vanida to soon to fall in love and feel that way plus, part main baling-baling is so cliche. But, Nasha did great.
  8. The title is sepi, the only time when the familiar lonely feeling crept over me during this movie is while watching the third story. That, is sooo sepi and heartbreaking. Not to say I did not experience the other 2 [except tak penahla pulak ex aku mati although I did wish some of them did, mati ditembak oleh aku hehe], it just that somehow the meaning of sepi really connect with the third story. Fits so well.
  9. Love the way the story diolah, especially the part whereone scene is repeated from 3 different perspectives.
  10. Love the soundtracks except lagu Rossa, aku bukan untukmu yang dirosakkan :(
  11. They quoted Kahlil Gibran “Yesterday is Todays Memory and Tomorrow is Todays Future” and featured his masterpiece, The Prophet. Sweet

Overall, it was a good movie for Malaysia standard, mesmerizing and I don’t mind watching it again. Better than some of the movies available. I don’t think my RM9 is wasted at all. Tiba-tiba je cerita dah habis, tak sedar pon dah dekat 2 jam.

Next on my list, ayat-ayat cinta.

Untuk ke entah berapa kali, aku tersedar yang aku nimemang jiwang orangnya hehe.
