I was once told by my ex boyfriend that pigskin is easy to detect. How did he know? He used to work in the ladies shoes department while waiting for SPM result and trust me, his taste in fashions are not bad for a guy. Anyway, just take a closer look at them and you will see three dots. But, not all three dots in shoes or apparels are pigskin. I never really give a shit because I will avoid touching or poking my nose on any item written “pigskin lining” .
So anyway, few days ago I was supposed to pick him up but I arrived half and hour early. Rather than sit alone inside the car, I choose to roam around and I came across cats whiskers boutique. Now, I am really in need [ye ke need?] of a cinch belt or waist cinch or whatever you call itlah. And despite my rabun eyes, I could spot one among the display of the boutique.
Ok. I have exactly 7 minutes before my roaming time ended. Yes, they do have the belt that I was looking for, in various colours too. Within that very limited time, I have to pinch myself not to take my own time browsing and berangan-ing through everything but focus on what colour should I pick, for the belt of course [although shoes might be a good idea too]. After considering few factors, I decided to go for brown. Now..now..nowwwwwwwww, which style should I choose? The big buckle? The flowery buckle or a square crystal lookalike buckle. Urghh. Deciding in a short time is fucking shitty ok. But luckily only the big buckle fits me perfectly yang lain, agak longgar.
So, I bought it and wear it straight away. And when he came into the car I said “Tadaaa” and he said ” Wow” walaupun aku boleh gerenti dia tak paham motif aku cakap tadaa tadi.
While smiling to myself and admiring my new bought glory[kesian kan?], I realised something. The belt was made out of leather and when I turned it, I could see three fucking dots.
Babila sungguh kulit babi ke apa?
First, I don’t want to return the belt and hello, I don’t think they will refund me. And selling it to the other person also seemed merentap jiwaku.
Second, tsk, it’s pigskin. Takkanla keje aku nak samak je tetiap kali kan?

I tried to remember whether or not I saw any sign saying pigskin, tapi macam takde. I look online for pigskin identification but I think it’s not fair. I mean, not all three dots represents pigskin.
I also asked him since his favourite food used to be anything to do with pork tapi mamat ni tak taula pulak. Tau makan je. Tapi sekarang tak makan dah, sekarang makan tetek je. Haha. But he said that pigskin is very soft and the belt is not.
Mula-mula aku abaikan je, yakin kata orang. Tapi dah dua hari, perasaan cibai terus menebal. Not that I am a saint or anything but the guilt ate me. So I called cats whiskers.
“Benda ni memang jadi issue sekarang ni kak, ramai orang complaint. Tapi supplier dah clarify yang bukan pigskin. Cuma belakang tu memang dia buat macam pigskin. Jangan risau ye kak, semua barang we all takde pigskin”
There you go. Lain kali tulislah dekat website awak ye. Upon hearing that, she said they had written that in the store tapi sebab I was in a rush, I did not see it. Yet lega hatiku kerana tidak perlu menglet go belt itu.
No, I don’t have the picture of that belt, although to me it’s fab but I have no mood to display them. But hehe, you will definately see it if you happen to see me wearing it.
Like you can’t figure out thatlah kan.
