The other day after eating at Home Town Yong Tau foo, I passed a restaurant onthe way to he car. Managed to glance of few lauk yang ada dekat atas meja orang [perbuatan keji haha but can't help it] and they look delicious!

We came back few days after and went to the restaurant, Thai Assam Fish.

It was a chinese-style resturant, I mean the cooking is more into chinese style, tak terlalu masak and simple- I like.

But we didn’t know what to order [my peneman makan and me] so we ask for suggestion from the owner.

He suggested their signature dish, Thai Assam Fish, I can’t remember the type of fish that we ordered but it was more than enough for two people

I love it.

I was expecting it to taste like asam pedas [hehe] but it did not. Rasanya masam-masam, a little bit of sweetness[not too much] but it was yummy! Rasa ikan sangat kena dengan kuah.

As I am typing this, kecur air liur. Ohhhhhhhhhhh

No wonderla nama kedai thai assam fish kan hehe

Since the other day, I saw udang sambal petai dekat pinggan orang tu dan telah meleleh air liur, so I ordered the dish

Sambal petai

Sambal petai

Not bad although I prefer my emak’s sambal udang. The petai is fresh and krup krap, not the lemau type.

We also ordered sizzling bean curd. Initially I thought I might not like it coz they didn’t use japanese bean curd, they used the normal ones – yang selalu keras dan rasa keji.

He ordered it anyway sebab dia suka.

sizzling beancurd

sizzling beancurd

And I was wrong, it was not japanese beancurd but it was soooo softt and setappp

I told him, cukupla tu dah banyak ni, tapi takkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk nak jugakk order lagi.

He asked me whether I want ostrich meat or venison – the restaurant have them, but I said no, other than that boleh.

So he ordered sotong masak cili kering

sotong masak cili kering

Setap juga. I likee but we thought they might be some cashew nuts malangnya tiada.

Overall, adalah berbaloi for the price that we paid RM53.30. Makan sampai perut nak meletup dan tak boleh bangun , tapi last-last boleh je haha.

On o0urt way home he asked me ” Why you didn’t want any ostrich or venison?”

Me: They are too cute to be eatan.

He: Too cute? Ostrich? Have you seen ostrich before or not?

Me: Or coursela pernah

He: Where got cute? chicks are cuter.

Me: Who the hell eat chicks? People eat chicken, chicken is no more cute.

He: Then ostrich is uglier, sure or not you have seen ostrich?

Tsk. Tak percaya aku tuuu, takdela aku ni bangang sangat sangat tak tahu ostrich mana satuuuuuuuuuuu

Hoh.

P.S: Sorry for the bad pictures quality, I left my camera at home. Kalau bawak pon lebih kurang je hehe

I love Home town yong tau foo in Ampang. Tapi tulah, dekat ampangla pulak, jem and parking pon macam gampang. Hey it rhymes hehe.

Kadang-kadang bernanah-nanah otak aku nak pergi situ semata-mata nak makan yong tau foo. To me it’s setap although he said yon tau foo yang tak halal lagi sedap.

Aku benci betul bila dia cakap macam ni, motiff kau nak kasi tau aku lepas tu aku tak boleh makan?

Anyway, I was browsing through Nina’s blog and I saw her entry padal home town yong tau foo. Just that she ate it in Shah Alam!

Oh my. Apahal aku tak tahu pulak niiiiiiiiiii? Dahla setahun dia dah bukak.

Eeee penat je aku meredah jem  bagai padahal dokek yo dengan rumah.

According to Nina, it is located opposite UITM. So if you want to go there, make sure you are heading towards UITM pintu belakang sebab the kedai is located at Sec 7.

Lepas je UITM, there will be a right turning [if you are from shah alam, if you are from Klang - UITM will be on your right and masuk ke kedai adalah belah kiri].

So masuklah ke right turning and you will deretan kedai. The restaurant is located on the second or third row tapi kedai dia paling hujunggggggggggg sekali.

Fuck, I am started to feel hungry as I am typing this.

The same cili and bendi!

The same cili and bendi!

Apa yang pelik was, the place is quite empty if you want to compare to Ampang branch yang tersangatlah pack sampai takde tempat nak duduk kadang-kadang.

lengang

lengang

Make me sad only, Please don’t close down. I was fucking happy when I found you!

We ordered our usual stuff, brinjals, chillis, tofu, foo chuk and dunno what else

Setap!!

Setap!!

And not to forget the chicken wings. I like the sauce.

Crunchy end. Nyammm nyam nyam

Crunchy end. Nyammm nyam nyam

But my all time favourite is their brinjal. So juicy and setap. I always ordered two for myself. Orang lain tak boleh share, kalau nak order sendirilaaa. Hehe

juicy = loveeeeeeeee

juicy = loveeeeeeeee

We never ordered rice when we eat here, kengkonon nak dietla padahalll makan sampai zip sluar terbukak dengan sendirinya.

But I am very happy that I found this place, dekat gila!

So if you love ampang home town yong tau foo, you would love this branch too!

Datangla, datanglaa supaya kedai dia tak tutup and aku boleh makan lagi .

Hmm

Tetibe air liur aku meleleh. Nakkkkkkkkkk

P.S: I also discovered another marvelous restaurant while dining at this yong tau foo outlet. Will blog about it later.

The new Little Italian Kitchen

When Little Italian Kitchen closed down, I was devastated. I was their fan, their location made me come quite often, coz it was very near to my house.

Imagine my anger when I saw Pelita Nasi Kandar took over, rasa macam nak pergi marah je mamak tu ok [gila emo].

And thennn Saiful told me at YM he discovered the new Little Italian Kitchen! They did not preserve the name though, it was changed to D’Italian Kitchen.

The new Little Italian

The new Little Italian

Setelah lama procrastinating to go, we went last evening for dinner. Initially we were torn in between watching movie and makan tapi ternyata manusia bertekak setan adalah memilih makan.

I guess he realised how important that place to me, he wore his toner and perfume! Make me happier only :D.

So the new Little Italian was located at Jaya 33, ground floor.

The menu

The menu

I realised the menu has been extended and the price are higher, sekarang dah ada risotto ok! But if this is the same restaurant that I used to adore, I don’t mind paying for the price.

The ambience

The ambiance

We ordered and waited for our food. I was sexcited

Chics sexited nak makan

Chics sexited nak makan

And so did he, cuma muka je tak nampak hehe

Terjongkit bahu tak sabar nak makan :P

The waiting was not too long, our appertiser came in few minutes.

We ordered sauteed mushroom, my all time favourite appertiser.

Sauteed mushroom with bread

The moment I savoured the taste, I knew this is the original Little Italian Kitchen! The mushroom still taste the same!

Orgasma berganda. Sangat setap!

Spicy Crab Linguine

Spicy Crab Linguine

This is my pasta, pardon the blur picture. Orang tu kalau ambik gamba memang macam gini, yang aku pulak sibuk nak makan.

It is unusual for me to order other than olio, but I just wanted to try something different. It was not bad. You can taste the crab in the pasta, I mean real crab meat bukan crabstick yang rasanya keji itu.

But I prefer his pasta.

Smoked duck with aglio olio

Smoked duck with aglio olio

Bloody delicious!

The duck taste really blend well with the pasta and pasta tu adalah menyerap rasa itik. Sedap gila! A must for duck lovers.

The thing is, this meal is only available for this month only – I thinklah sebab dia kata monthly special.

Sticky Toffee Pudding

Sticky Toffee Pudding

I chose this for our dessert.

Sebenarnya dalam kereta aku dah berazam nak order galbani tiramisu dia yang sedap sampai koma tu tapiiiiiiiiiiiiii when I looked at the menu they use kahlua and rum pulak this time, dulu takdela pulak sekarang guna alkohol kenapa, tengok dah tak boleh makan.

Swirly yang tahu aku sangat suka benda ni telah meng- complaint kepada waiter but cannot do anything also :(. My second choice would be chocolate devil tapi takde dalam menu pulakkkkkkkkk.

Since the pudding is the monthly special, aku pon orderla, not badlah just I fucking want my fucking glabani tiramisu. Dem you D’ Italian Kitchen!

Wah emo, macamla dia kesah kan.

Despite not getting the right dessert, I was still happy!

Muke pengenyang yang ria!

Muke pengenyang yang ria!

How I wish the resturant tak pindah, supaya senang je aku pergi, pakai sluar katuk pon boleh pergi, ni haa, jauh la.. nak pakai serabai pon takut kot tetibe kene tahan polis ke, tak bolehla aku nak ngorat diorang untuk melepaskan diri [hehe]dengan pakaian serabai.

Swirly, in his opinion said, maybe diorang pindah sebab nak expand the business – the place is no more humble, subtle and low profile, sekarang adalah shouting ok, make me sad only :( . Plus, maybe they want to sell alcohol, so they choose to move out, sini wine choices dia boleh tahan jugakla, cuma aku order air suam je haha. Yelah Shah Alam kan bandar islam [hah!] mana boleh jual alcohol.

In case you are wondering, the bill was about RM 90 all together, affordbale right? I mean for this type of foodlah.

We went home with a full heart and full stomach.

Zzzzzz..kononnnn

Zzzzzz

Kengkonon nak cakap balik terus tidola tu padahalllllllllllllll.. tatau buat apa

Eh tapi skang dah pukul 11.45, aku nak minum air, makan brownies dan nak tido bebetul.

Oh ya, more photos at Gallery.

Ok dah tata.
