Menanglungkan diri di malam hari

When someone told me about the lantern festival, I got all excited. Biasala aku nikan, benda macam tu pon nak sexcited.

So that night after menolong emak basuh pinggan [my relatives on emak's side datang] we headed to Central Market – the venue.

Naik lrt saja, gila apa kau nak naik kereta pergi tempat sesak macam tu?

I was told that the launching would be around 7, tapi masa aku sampai dalam pukul 8 lebih, VVIP baru nak datang. 1Malaysia betullah.

Oh ye, this was a 1Malaysia event.

Mula-mula I thought the crowd tak ramai tapi boleh tahannn. I love the red lights yang sangat contrast dengan malam.

And then I saw lots of people holding lantern. Mulalah semangat gatal aku timbul, nak lantern jugakkkkkkkkkkkk. Nakk nakkkkkkk. Later I figured out the lantern came from a goodie bag yang adalah free.

Haha sebagai cheapskate saya adalah harus teruja.

Dan sudah mendapatnya, walaupun terpaksa beratur dengan agak panjang. Yela kan barang free, berebutla orang.

So what was inside the goodie bag?

While waiting for the VVIP to get ready to give their speeches, I spotted something that I likeeeee.

They are going to have lion dance yeayy. Masa CNY dulukan penatla aku tunggu, takde pon kali ni dapat tengok hihi.

I also spotted something else

As you can see, there is a piece of paper attached to each lanterns. Initially aku ingat, oh maybe diorang macam tulis wish diorang and gantung situ sebab aku rasa aku pernah encounter such thing although it was Japanese.

But I was wrong.

eh silap gambar hehe [ye ke silapppppppppppppp?]

I think there was a competition going on, kot, I am not too sure. Aku sangatlah ignorant dan distracted sebenarnya kerana telah nampak pelbagai lantern yang menarik.

Mind you,they are all free! I absolutely love the bola ones, sangat colourful macam origami and I love the blue swan too [first pic].

Too bad I got the ordinary ones, although I sort of love th traditional ones, tapi itu duluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Ni bila aku dah nampak kiut-kiut macam ni aku pun nakkkkkkkkkkk.

Tapi the following adalah custom made

Semangat gila and I admired her effort and spirit which explain kene aku tersentil dekat sebelah dia hehe

Ni semua di ambik before the ceremony started, punyelah panjang dia punya speechhhhh sampai lencun aku berpeluhh, sampai penat dah ambik gambar tak habis-habis jugakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Terpaksalah menghiburkan hati sendiri dengan membuat aksi cacat. Yang pout tu nak tiru Peej, tapi gagalll haha. Overla orang pout sikit kau banyakkk.

Bila dah agak-agak puas merangkak kasi speech, barulah the event dirasmikan.

And finally the lion danced setelah penat aku tunggu. Tu pun dia dance kejap je dekat situ because they have to follow the VVIP who will tawaf the jalan with lanterns in their hand. Kalau aku jadi isteri VVIP tu harusla aku menyumpah sebab kene tawaf pakai baju kurung dengan high heels dengan mekap dengan nak jaga lantern tanak kasi padam lagi. Eee

We didn’t wait for the VVIP to return or for any other event sebab tak nak balik sekali gus dengan orang lain, masakla aku dalam lrt tu nanti, so after seeing the lion dance we made our moves.

But I bumped into them. Sangatlah suka dengan costume Indian dancers ini, colourful so of course I have to snap some pictures hehe

Oh, where’s my lantern you ask?

Adalah bermain di rumah sebab dekat situ mana nak main lagi, nak ambik gambar lagi, nak lap peluh lagi hehehe.

Kannn, lantern saya adalah tidak swan ataupon bola :( . Tapi takpelah atleast ade hihi.
