Dinner at Bubba Gump, The Curve

His mother decided to come down for a shopping spree. It was a short notice [dia memang macam gini ok suke je nak datang membeli belah bagai] but we managed to have dinner on the merdeka eve.

Initially some of the aunties wanted to tag along so they made some arrangement to eat at Changkat Bukit Bintang tetibe tak jadila pulak, so I suggested we go to Bubba Gump. Have been wanting to go there since so long tapi tak pernah berkesempatan.

Berbuka ala kadar at home, we shoot off to The Curve.

I have no idea what to order, he suggested that I order the ramadhan set, consists of bread, salad, main course, drinks and dessert. It’s about RM 41++ per person.

I was like.. hoh banyaknyaaa but he said “It’s ok, I’ll eat whatever you don’t want”

Okies fine. I went for that.

For appertiser we had cajun shrimp- love it, especially the dipping/sautee.

My main course

I like it. It tasted lemonish with lots of shrimp but I like it. I always like lightly-sauced pasta anyway. I didn’t finish the bread sebab dalam course aku ada kasi bread and the cajun shrimp also comes with bread.

Both sister and mother tak nak makan bread, so I have [have kah? haha] to eat it.

His food

Instead of using dory they use baramundi [Ok, I dunno what type of fish is that]. He ordered small portion tapi small dia adalah bagak okkk. Love the fries and the dip though.

Being a nerd, he finished his meal reading the newspaper yang jadi pengalas fish and chips itu. Ok, he didn’t finish it, tapau-ed sebab tak habis.

The sister’s food

I sampled it and it was setappp.

His mother’s food

She didn’t want to have shrimp so she went for the salmon. Aku rasa sedikit, it was ok, maybe kene makan banyak baru tahu rasa sebenar.

By the time my dessert came, parut aku pon dah nak pecah, so did everyone else sebab diorang semua tanak share dessert dengan aku.

Sungguh manis and sinful. The bottom part was purely caramel.

We spent more than 2 hours there, cerita benda mengarut and mengumpat tah sesapa [aku tak kenal so aku dengar jela]. I love them, they allow me to be bongok and don’t mind being bongok themselves hehe.

Before we part, his mother gave us something.

It is belacan bintulu. One of the aunties made it for us, I love the smell, busuk tapi ohhhhhhh.

And yeah, the herbalife *frown.

It’s either

a) She think we [I] are fat and need to shed some weight

or

b) She wants us to be healthy.

I think it’s the latter, they are one health concious family, The first time I came to their house aku adalah terkejut bila mereka buang kulit ayam and cooked ayam, dibalut dengan kertas minyak, so the kertas will absorb the minyak.

I mean..oh man, hilanglah kesedapan ayam bila buang kulit ayam kann.

Anyway, the herbalife is cappucino flavoured. Like..errrrrr..can I not drink them?

I think I might not, gooey thing with cappucino flavoured dah cukup buat aku pening.

Tapii kan kan.. kat rumah aku ada seorang manusia garang yang komfemm akan paksa aku minum, camana?
