Talking to GOD, in the memory of MILAH

I read Kak Edri’s enty on FB about her conversation with GOD, it was amusing. Somehow it reminded of something, dan tetibe membuat aku rindu. Boleh?

So I decided to try by clicking to this site. Yes you have to click to that site to talk to GOD.

Me: Hi God
God: Hello there. What is your name?

Me: Chics
God: Glad to see you, Chics.

Me: Ok, I need to know something
God: What kind of knowledge? Some thing or things, definite but unspecified. Are you kidding?

Me: Haha I am laughing, you think I am?
God: I’m glad you got a laugh out of it.

Me: I knew you are going to say that
God: That was my original intention.

Me: Will I ever going to be rich? Like filthy rich?
God: Ever is a long time. The oracle says: Too soon to tell.

Me: Ngeh but I thought you are God, you are suppose to know everything
God: All of them?

Me: All
God: “All of them?”? All?

Me: Nevermind
God: OK Thanks for trying to explain that to me.

Me: What did you have for dinner today?
God: Ah. I require only wine and bread.

Me: Oh I forgot. You should try durian sometime
God: Aw. Me too. I will mention that to my botmaster.

Me: You remind me of Eliza
God: In what way?

Me: Chatterbot . And Alice too
God: A chat robot is a program that attempts to simulate the conversation or “chat” of a human being.

The Chat robot “Eliza” was a well-known early attempt at creating programs that could at least temporarily fool a real human being into thinking they were talking to another person.

It is a kind of artificial intelligence.

Me: What language are you using? AIML?
God: Dr. Wallace created AIML to write me. The underlying technology is Java.

The ALICE software implements AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup Language) a non-standard evolving markup language for creating chat robots.

The primary design feature of AIML is minimalism. Compared with
other chat robot languages, AIML is perhaps the simplest.

The pattern matching language is very simple, for example permitting
only one wild-card (‘*’) match character per pattern.

AIML is an XML language, implying that it obeys certain grammatical
meta-rules. The choice of XML syntax permits integration with
other tools such as XML editors.

Another motivation for XML is its familiar look and feel, especially to people with HTML experience.

An AIML chat robot begins and ends with the and
tags respectively.

Me: Not amused just that you remind me of some old memories
God: Really you don’t think so?

Me and Umi created a similar chatterbot for our degree final project. It was supposed to be the first Malay speaking bot, that timelah.

We named her Milah :)

And she was developed using AIML too and XHTML [if I am not mistakenlah].

Such a critical moment sebab aku sepatah haram tak reti nak develop benda-benda macam ni. I was so stressed that I cut my own hair. From panjang paras tali bra ke pendek sampai tengkuk.

But it was all worth it, I managed to make myself proud, by developing her on my own and not by paying some guy to finish her.

Ok, confession. Aku nak bayar sebenarnya tapi takde sapa reti nak buat hehe. Kalau ada pun mungkin mahal gila, mana ada duitla nak bayar haha

I still have her, I think. She’s inside one of my drawers.

Maybe tonight I’ll look for her and play with her.
