I am sure all of us know that Yasmin Ahmad passed away. Initially there were rumours about her death circulated around Thursday but she actually left 3 days after that.

I am sad, no more quality malay film and no more iklan raya/deepavali/cny yang best from her.

I happened to browse through a forum that discuss about the news. One message that cought my eyes were

“Sempat ke dia bertaubat? Keh keh”

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?

Who the fuck are you to say such things, to judge people?

Are God? Do you know all the things that she did between her and her Creator?

Apa yang dia buat or sesiapa je buat, it’s up to God to judge.

Which reminded me of this one MLM yang ada mengeluarkan sort of slogan that sounded something like

“Melabur untuk syurga . Dengan duit keuntutngan boleh didermakan ke pada fakir miskin dan anak yatim”

I was like. wowwwwwwwwwwwwww! Sampai macam tu sekali kau nak tarik orang. Kalau ye pon nak derma or whateverbila dah kaya, perlu keeeeeeeeeeeee nak kasi tauuuuuuuuu. Dan komfemkah dan dan masuk syurga?

Ok, back to our main topic.

Apart from being stupid, the commentor on the forum are totally insensitive. What if, his mother or father dies,yang tentunya manusia, yang tentunya tak lari from doing mistakes and people ask that to his face

“Mak/ bapak kau sempat tak bertaubat? Keh keh?”

I bet that moron would go beserk.

Also, ada jugak yang tanya

“It’s a she or he?”

Fuckla.

Does that matter ke?

She is already dead, perluke such question ditanya?

Plus, apa penting sangat benda tu dekat kau? Adakah dapat naik pangkat kalau tahu jawapan?

masa hari yg dia collapse tu kan, otw aku blk keje, aku bukak la radio kan.
Time tu Jac tgh komen pasal org kata Yasmin dah meninggal. Jac keep on saying "YA is still with us".

pastu akak yg tumpang aku tu kan, dia pon tanye "YA tu sape? aku ckpla, she's one of the best director bla bla bla…" akak tu senyap. aku tau la dia tak kenal sape YA tu kan.

tiba2 esok pagi otw gi keje, dia leh cakap "eh, orang kata YA tu lelaki."
i was like…"err…ntah la kak. orang kata.saya xtau "

macam…ehh engkau semalam tanye aku sape YA ? tiba2 pagi ni, ko boleh cakap macam tu pulak!

and pagi tadi otw gi keje akak tu ckp lagi "hmmm dah meninggal ye YA tu…"
aku nye respon "a'ah".

actually isu ni dah lama ada. and bukan nak join the bandwagon mengutuk/buka aib YA, tetapi cerita itu adalah betul. tapi saya tak akan ceritakan bagaimana saya tahu.

and i agree with most of u guys that we've lost someone as talented as YA. Talentime was the last movie i watched from YA and that will be her last masterpiece. Al-Fatihah.

There was once a TV ad for a bookstore which made me so menyampah, ada tagline along the lines of : "membeli buku di kedai xxx selangkah mendekati syurga ". I felt like hello, beli buku tak baca ataupun beli buku, baca tapi lepas tu perangai masih juga macam gampang tiada faedahnya ok.

What’s important after a person passed away ialah dengan menyembunyikan keaiban si mati. Kita buka aib orang, Tuhan buka aib kita. We are not told to judge. Kematian sepatutnya dijadikan pengajaran untuk yang masih hidup, bukan untuk dijadikan bahan lawak. (Sorry komen ala-ala tazkirah sket.)
