When emak smsed me saying she cooked ikan pekasam and chicken curry I wrinkled my brows. Pekasam? Curry? Hoh.
He cooked zow zow duck for me with poached eggs only to find the eggs pecah, while eating he asked me to eat the pekasam.
I tried it and said ” Why taste like sampah?”
He said ” That’s why. But I don’t like kasam ikan, I only like kasam babi”
WTF? Adakah babi perisa sampah?
Anyway he said, it’s addictive.
I have to say it is!
After one cubitan, I cubit some more and more and moree untill tinggal sebelah je ikan tu. Weird taste but addictive.
So I had zow zow duck and pekasam ikan for dinner.
But it did not end there.
My parents decided to eat durian. Of course they asked me to join them, bila aku tak nak they mocked me “orang bandar sangatla tu!”

Tercabar sungguh aku ni. So I took two, and they ate the rest while memuji betapa lemak, tebal dan sedapnya durian itu. Depress kejap sebab aku macam rasa semua durian dalam dunia rasa sama, camana nak join the bandwagon ni?
“I can’t differentiate between nice durian or vice versa” and emak scolded me. Nicelahh!! She said
Fineeeeee.
Later I got more scolding when I threw up in the toilet. I know your bibir adalah menjuih menyampah now, I knoww aku pon menyampah. If I am a clone of chicsinred, I would have slapped my self. Apa mengada sangat makan durian pun nak muntah? Apa kau ingat kau lahir dekat New Zealand?
Can’t help it though, my tekak kembang and they durian just want to get out.
But tempoyakkkkk, make me kecur. The masam manis taste is just fuhhhhhhhhhhhh, tambah nasikkkkkkkkkkkk.
I think I’ll cook tempoyak udang with pucuk ubi this weekend.
Nyammmmmmm.
