Please give her strenght

I can’t sleep tonight.

There was an entry ready to be published, well I wrote it yesterday.

But I guess that entry would not be appropriate for the moment.

You see, I was laughing while reaching for my phone. I had a good time talking and fooling around and it’s time to sleep. As I was about to set my alarm on my handphone when I saw two smses. Must be the meeting mode that I set earlier making me not hearing the incoming messages.

One is from Fieda and one is from Zasya. The latter was very shocking menyebabkan tangan aku mengigil.

“Ko tau Zaireen’s dad passed away?”

All I can think was.. Ya Allah. Ya Allah. Oh my God. Poor Zaireen. Poor Hanisz.

Zaireen is working in Qatar but in her recent blog entry she stated that she will be coming back to Malaysia next week, meaning she is in Malaysia now for the entry was written last week.

She was not supposed to come back but she wanted to be with her dad for his medical check up. The dad was not feeling well.

There was an entry about her dad’s condition, although she didn’t really say how serious the condition was but she did say that she was worried. Somehow that entry made me cry.

I know how close she is to her family. I know the feeling because I think we share the same sentiment.

And I can imagine the pain and sadness. But I can only imagine, sakit dia hanya dia yang tahu. Macamana patah hati dia, dia sorang je yang boleh rasa.

So when I read that she will be coming for a short break to be with her dad, I felt happy for her. I like when she said “duit boleh cari”. Indeed kan, tapi family tiada galang gantinya.

Yet somehow…

She did not make it in time. Her father passed away last Friday ¹ while she was still in Qatar.

I don’t know how I feel. I can’t explain it but there’s a lump in my throat.

I wish she is next to me so I can hold her tight. I’ll let her cry as much as she want until my tshirt get soaking wet with her tears.

I wish I can do more. I wish I can take away the pain.

Oh God, please give her and her family strength!

it was Friday, 9pm (n0t saturday, kak sherry).. I was there when hanisz got the news, and when hanisz broke the news to ayin in qatar thru the phone.. i could hear them both crying. and i was there during the talkin, and i helped hanisz hold the phone, with the loudspeaker mode on, so ayin in qatar could also hear the talkin, and aminkan the doa together.. it breaks my heart to just watching, and to just hear ayin sobing on the line.. cant imagine the pain inside them.. berat mata memandang. berat lagi bahu memikul. i pray for them to be strong. amin.

That was my fear too. At this time of despair all she needs are support from family and friends. Never ask whether she is OK just hug her and listen to whatever she says. I believe it will be gushes of guilt for not coming home sooner but what can one do. She didn't do anything wrong and make sure she knows that.
