Memories of Kuantan

in nostalgia

I stayed at Kuantan for 2 years. Was forced to stay thanks to the new education minister that time, he who shall not be named yang menggatal nak suruh asasi UM franchaise. I have to say I don’t really have many fond memories yet I still have a few yang masih segar di dalam ingatan. Ayatt, tak nak kalah tu.

  1. Nasi Ayam Taman Guru
Somebody told me Norman Hakim used to stay here tapi that’s not the point. Sometimes when I feel like having something else rather than the cafe food, I will go to this gerai which was located only few meters away from the college. Tapiii kene ayuh cerdas, siapa lambat nanti habis.

Nothing special about this place nor the nasi ayam. Just that best dapat keluar walaupun sekangkang kera dekatnya.

  2. Coconut Shake
Boleh dibeli dipasar malam. The thing is I was skeptical the first time I saw them. Coconut what? But holy shit, they tasted so sedap! Sungguh nyaman dan creamy.

I tried to look for it here but so far, luck is never with me. Pernahla aku ternampak sekali but that time I was in a rush and it was during fasting month.

  3. Kompleks Teruntum
Horror ok yet I still went there to get my cash from the ATM, situ yang paling dekat and cepat. Why horror? Coz it’s so dim dan dipenuhi dengan orang yang scary.

I watched a movie at the teruntum cinema tu, masa tu megamall tak siap lagi [bukan mdivalley megamall tapi Kuantan megamall]. It was Mulan and I was freaking scared but feeling takjub at the same time. Takjub because old school gila wayang ni, reminded me of the old times when we go watch karate kid or main-main hantu at rex/capitol or the old cathay.

  4. Teluk Cempedak
Tempat dating dan menjiwang. Bawak buku konon-konon nak study, buat tutorial. Poodahhhhh!
  5. Kedai siam yang aku tak ingat nama tapi sedap gila
Can’t remember the name but it was located sebaris dengan college tapi kau kene jalan jauh sikitla. The kerabu sotong was bloody sedap and tersangat pedas, sehingga mengalirkan air mata.A bit pricey but still, sedap punya pasallllllllll 2 -3 kali seminggu mesti pergi.
  6. Sampan
Once our college was flooded and one of the girls tiba-tiba terjumpa sampan. The flood was not that high but still, flood is still floodlahkan. Dengan jakunnya budak-budak ni take turn naik sampan, termasuklah aku. hehe best siot!

  7. Angsa Pn. TakIngatNama tapi ajar Fizik
There was this one lecturer who I like sebab dia sungguh cool walaupun garang.

Pantang aku lalu nak pergi town, mesti angsa tu keluar nak sudu. Sungguh horror!

  8. Flasher
In front of that lecturer’s house, lived a guy who his hobby was to flash his dick to people. But apparently it was not his fault. Dia tak betul sikit, hence suka lari-lari bogel.

Aku agak takut [agak tu haha], selalu berdoa janganlah ada angsa ataupun flasher itu.

  9. Ah Lok Cafe
Cafe yang popular tapi aku tak penah pergi. Tapi aku suka pergi satu kedai ni yang jual macam-macam bubur. I always order nasi air. Setap!

Lagi satu cafe yang aku suka dekat Kuantan masa tu adalah Noki’s Cafe. Masak asam dia sedap gila ok!

Okla aku tipu ada la aku ingat lagi tapi saja tak nak ingat sebab sungguh terasa taik bila ku pikirkan semula.

Tsk. For no reason tiba-tiba aku rasa melancholic

walaupun cinema itu scary dan mungkin spooky, at least penonton dia menghormati keadaan sekeliling. Kat Kuching, the one inside Parkson-Crown Plaza, ni yang tok nenek punya cinema area Electra House. (ko tanya la kawan2 Sarawakian ko)

First time aku masuk situ tengok AWAS the movie.

Muka Yusry kluar je, satu panggung sorak 'Auwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Yusry!! I miss you!!!'

Pebenda siallll??? Ko ingat ni funfair???

First time aku jumpa flasher adelah masa skolah rendah. Ada brader naik motor benti nak tanya address apa benda ntah konon tak jumpa jalan. Aku pun rilek je explaijn kat dia. Sekali kawan aku jerit, tapi brader tu tak lari. Dia leh sengih baiknya macam 'HEEEEEEEE' air liur nak terkuar sikit kat tepi (bajet ni horny gila, budak takde tetek lagi pun ko stim) sambil tangan kiri goyang telo.

Kalau muka ko cam Remy Ishak aku nak gak tunggu. Biasa la sebab tak hensem la maka dia jadi flasher.

kat teluk cempedak skang ni dah ade mcd & kfc. masih lagi merupakan tempat2 orang berdating. Tapi susah nak carik parking.

Bekas office aku dulu kat kompleks teruntum ok. Memang horror. Dulu-dulu naik lif pun aku berdebar. Skang dah ade panggung wayang baru kat kompleks teruntum.

Nokis cafe masih wujud. Tapi dah tukar tempat dah. Skang ni dia dekattttt je dgn area rumah aku. Tapi ah lok cafe aku taknah pegi la. Kat mane ek?
