Oh she remembers.
He was different from the others. On their first date he wore a nyonya cutting slack with a weird haircut and not to mention a plain pallas shoes. If you know her back than, you will understand her shallowness. On how she worshipped polished looking men who folded their sleeves and walked with such air in their branded shoes.
“Your hair, I think it’s not evenly cut”, She said, wrinkling her eyebrow.
“Oh yes, but I always go to that aunty, she’s so old and nobody go to her anymore, pity her, so I still go to her. And she only charged 5 Ringgit”.
Ooookkkk. Should she go home now?
She wanted to, really but remembering how awful it felt being treated badly, she just smiled and braved herself. Few hours won’t kill her.
“I know this nice restaurant near my office, you mind eating there?”
After fiddling with the menu for quite sometime, she ordered her usual unagi kabayaki and he ordered saba set, she ended finishing his miso. Oh she bloody loves Japanese food, it seemed that he did his homework well. It was all fine; they talked and laughed until the time they walked out from the restaurant.
One of the waiters came and whispered something to his ears out of nowhere. He looked tensed and marched straight to her.
“I don’t know how to say this but your jeans is unzipped”.
Oh. My. Fuck.
She felt like running to the street and let some stupid red cab hit her and drag her to her grave. Instead with a straight face she turned around and zipped her jeans. As if nothing happened as if the bird is singing la,la,la.
And that was the moment when he started to laugh. Oh you should see his face, full of mockery. He laughed so hard until the laughter was still lively even when they were already in a cab.
She was not yet recovered from her humiliation, her shock and he laughed? At her? With his body shakingggggggggggggggggggggggg?

Later that night she told him, never contact her anymore. Forget her. Just.. be gone.

But one thing remains the same everyday, the way he laugh. That mocking face [that she feels like slapping sometimes]. And she gets to hear them every single day, in her embrace.
